I thought this was deserving of its own post and not to just be thrown into my update post! My best friend Maegan got engaged last month! I am so excited to go through this engagement with her. It feels like a round 2, but the pressures off me :) She has chosen a destination wedding in Mexico next June! I cannot wait to celebrate with her AND get such a fun vacation! Harper's Almost Here!

So I haven't blogged in a while, but I am going to get back on that with Harper's arrival! I will do my best to update with pictures of us as we find our way through this new chapter. Austin and I could not be more ecstatic to welcome Harper to our family. We get to meet her 1 week from today (at the latest!) My butt got put on bed rest yesterday :( Austin has been warning me for a while that this was going to happen, but if you know me, you know sitting on the couch is not my thing! But for now, I guess I'll give in since it's whats best for her. Austin is out right now with a "Honey Do" list that includes finding me dry shampoo :) I think he got lost at Target looking for everything! He's only called a few times with questions! He says I am the errand queen and he doesn't understand how I always have so many errands.. I guess over the course of the next week he will find out. Except that my mom has already been assigned the Hobby Lobby errand for an additional lamp shade and fringe bc he would have NO CLUE what he was looking for! He's been such a trooper through this whole pregnancy. He has nicknamed me his "Hormone Casserole" :) All I can do is laugh bc I know I'm hormonal on a normal day! I hope he doesn't wear down this last week since I can't do much! I owe him big time when Harper's here and I am back on my feet. Tomorrow morning I am off to GWL to take my new group of cheerleaders to camp! I am so excited to spend this week w/ them and also super nervous that the responsibility is on my shoulders! I am also looking forward to getting to know my JV coach, Holly, this week! We will be gone until Thursday- I hope I get sleep between now and then! :)

Hurdle #1 for the year: My freshman coach quit this week :) So my sweet friend Ann Marie is filling in for us at camp! And the old JV coach from last year has agreed to come back and take over the freshman team for the year. I am so excited that I will have somebody that is familiar w/ the program to help me out. And she is super sweet :) For this week- Ann Marie, Holly, and myself will be doing our best to keep 40 high school girls under control at a resort! ha!

I will update soon on how these high school girls are keeping me on my toes!

Maegan graduated this May from Texas A&M Commerce and will be teaching elementary in the Fall! I am so happy for her! She is going to be an amazing teacher! We got to celebrate after she walked the stage with her (WHOLE) family, Eric's family ;), and old friends from high school! With smoked bbq, a heated pool, and a margarita machine... It was a fun day! Congrats MaeMae!

Austin and I experienced our first Jimmy Buffett concert Saturday night! His cousins Brooke and Magen along w/ several of their friends tailgated all weekend at Pizza Hut Park w/ 2 RV's, a grill, and their very own porta-potty! We had a lot of fun!

This has been a very challenging year for me work wise and it's coming to an end. I am so excited for what is to come, the new opportunity, and the new challenge..... but as I realize I only have 1 week left w/ my kiddos, I cannot help but be sad! We had a graduation reception today for our graduation seniors. There are 8 of them! Here are some pictures.

We had a great turn out! All of their parents were able to join us along w/ old teachers that have worked with them along the way. I also made a slideshow with pictures from our year and the end had all the seniors w/ their baby pictures and senior pictures! It was a lot of fun!

Married Life.

We have been married 2 months! I am still adjusting to my new name, in fact a couple weeks ago when I was interviewing for a new job, he called me back as Mrs. Knight and I didn't answer! I didn't even recognize it. You'd think w/ the kiddos calling me by Mrs. Knight everyday that I'd be used to it.

I got some exciting news last week! Prosper High School offered me a job as varsity cheer and drill team assistant. I am so excited! I have prayed for months about an opportunity, and I really feel the Lord blessing me. As challenging as this year was, I can see his reason for me staying at Sachse and coaching freshman cheer. So no more 5am alarms or $8 worth the tolls everyday. I am excited!

And... we got new bedroom furniture last week! So I had decided maybe if I started selling our furniture, Austin would finally cave and buy us new.... So I sold the nightstands to a friend of mine, Ann Marie, and Austin didn't even hesitate and pulled 2 chairs from the kitchen in and set our lamps on them. haha. But, I finally talked him into it! :)

Easter Sunday and I can breathe. Austin and I are officially married! March 13, 2010. Life until that point was completely out of control. Starting with Christmas we had Christmas w/ all families, my dad's birthday, new years, my birthday, our first shower, our couples shower, my brother's birthday, our couple's shower, Austin's 30th birthday, our bachelor/bachelorette weekends, and then there we were 3 weeks from our wedding! It was all a whirlwind, but there are plenty of pictures to help us remember! It was such a fun time, but such an emotional time- every emotion between stressed, irritable, to giddy, excited, to happy tears and sad tears- we felt them all, multiple times a day! We felt so blessed the whole time to have such wonderful families and friends around us to celebrate with us and help us so we could enjoy. Between my mom, bridesmaids, friends, and co-workers, they took so much off my plate so I could take it all in. I could not be more thankful. So I am going to attempt to write about the weekend of the wedding and include pictures- because Austin is out in the garage and I have time... such a great feeling!

So we started the wedding weekend Thursday night with Girls Night by me. I wanted to spend some time w/ my bridal party and moms and have a chance to thank the them for how much they did for me! So we enjoyed pedi's, dinner, wine, and friendships!

We had lots of fun! And although these girls and my moms deserved SO much more- I hope they enjoyed some time w/ the girls to pamper themselves before the crazy weekend startedFriday it was go time! Austin left first thing to get one last work out in and then head to the Cotton Mill. Randi and I enjoyed breakfast together then met Maegan and headed to the Cotton Mill to start setting up. We met my brother, Austin, my parents, my aunt, and my cousins there to unload the trailer and begin setting up what we could. Mom brought us a Chick-Fil-A nugget tray and we all enjoyed a picnic in what would soon be set up for our wedding ceremony!

Then it was back to the hotel to get ready for rehearsal! We all made it back in time for the rehearsal and then all headed over to the Dulaney House in McKinney for the wonderful dinner Kathy had put together! We enjoyed Buca Di Beppo for dinner, a childhood slideshow by my dad, and toasts from our families! The Dulaney House is in the historic Chestnut Square in McKinney and can be rented out for events. It was a really neat place!

And on to the wedding day! After the rehearsal me and my bridesmaids headed back to the hotel to spend the night together! We were up first thing Saturday morning and headed out to get breakfast. As soon as we got back Kristin Colaneri showed up to do our hair and makeup. While we were relaxing and being pampered, there was lots of wonderful women at the Cotton Mill helping my mom set up. They worked so hard and were able to have the entire ceremony and reception areas set up by 2pm! Thank you mom, Dodie, Donna, Shirley, Alexi, Kristen, Lacey, Amy, Katie, Joya, Barbara, Diane, Cari, and everyone else that was there helping! You were all lifesavers that day! My mom was able to join us at the hotel to get herself all done up also. And then it was off to the Cotton Mill to get dressed and begin pictures!

Oh ya, I can't forget the flowers Austin sent me at 9am that day and the card read- "Good Morning Princess- See you at the ball!" He is way too good to me! So needless to say- I felt like a princess!

The day was wonderful! It went so smooth, and the Cotton Mill turned out better than I could've imagined. Austin and I had so much fun and loved getting to see so many friends and family in one place. On Sunday we left for the Bahamas for the week and it was absolutely incredible. Having a whole week to breathe and just be w/ him was exactly what I needed. It was a great start to our marriage and I am so happy to just be doing life w/ him now. Things have slowed down so much and I am so thankful to have my brain back!

I am so ready for June to be here! I am officially looking for a new job. If anybody has suggestions, I am open to all ideas. This has been a very rough year for me, work wise, and I am ready for a change. I currently drive 50 minutes to and from work and am ready to work close to home (or at home!!). I would also like to clear my schedule so I have more time (energy) to give Austin as we begin marriage :)!

Wedding is in 38 days. But more importanly right now, I am planning Austin's birthday. It's his 30th and I can't ignore the milestone. So apologies people that you are celebrating us so much! We promise to pay it forward.

I cannot wait for summer. June 4th cannot get here fast enough. 100,000 lbs will be lifted off my shoulders.

Oh yes, prayers accepted for a beautiful, spring day on March 13th! :)

The countdown is on! It's so close! We had our first shower last weekend at the McVicker's House. It was so much fun. I have my bridals tomorrow and next weekend we have our Couples Shower at Paul & Tiff's! We are feeling so blessed. Austin's 30th birthday is coming up also and I have something up my sleeve. He is going to be so excited!

One question: I need ideas for wedding favors. I am no clue what to do!

Thought I'd give the blogging thing another shot! I sure have started loving my Saturday mornings. The house is silent and I have a moment to do whatever I want! Thought I'd update about wedding plans! I haven't even blogged about being engaged, but yes Austin and I are getting married on March 13, 2010. We are 2 months away and it finally seems real. I cannot wait!

So my mom has gone about the whole wedding in true Sherri form. She has found deals on everything. Her goal going into this was to prove that you could have a nice wedding w/o it costing an arm and a leg. So, Craigslist, Ebay, and garage sales have become her best friends. She refused plastic silverware, so we spent this week cleaning, drying, rolling, and tying bows on 400 forks, 200 spoons, and 200 knifes! I appreciate her for it though because the budget has been able to go much further! I had my last dress fitting on Thursday and I cannot wait to get it home w/ me. Bridals up next :)

Our first shower is January 23rd. My moms birthday group is throwing a huge girl shower. You really feel the love of your friends during a time like this as so many people reach out to help.

Lately

Lately..

Not much has changed. I still love my job. Although stressful, I think I'm getting the hang of it. Def teaching me to handle stress better. Not one of my strengths prior to teaching. As of 2 weeks ago I am the new Sachse High School Freshmen Cheerleading Coach. The last venture in cheerleading I have not taken on. I am very excited about the opportunity, not the stipend, but getting to know more students outside of my classroom. I am also excited about the dynamic it will present in my classroom and my day.

I recently bought a puppy. A Morkie. She is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Although, completely ruined my carpet in my brand new apt, she was fun. Yes, was. I also recently sold a puppy. After agreeing with Austin that we would not attempt another dog until we are married, I was lonely in my new apt and went ahead and got one. Too much for 1 person to handle. Unfortuantely, I had to give her up to a sweet 3rd grade teacher that also lives alone, but much closer to her school. I think they will be a good fit.

My new apt. I also recently moved into my first living alone situation. I got an efficiency at the Shops at Legacy. Although not decorated, I love it. It is a quant lil space that I am not scared in and can enjoy me time when I am home.

Austin and I are great as well. I just came inside from planting 3 trees with him! We have finally jumped on the yard and decided to do something to it. It is looking great, although it has been alot of hard work! Next weekend we will finish up with my favorite part, planting all the flowers!!

So I thought not much had changed, but it kinda sounds like it has. Life is still good. I am loving everyday of it. :)

2. When they are about to do something wrong they look at me with one eye to make sure I'm watching

4. When they burp in class and immediately say 'cuse me Miss Jones
5. When they sign 'I'm Sorry' when they know they've done something wrong
6. My conversations with Jaime when I can't understand him, but we carry on a full conversation
7. How they laugh one second and then cry one second
8. When Larsen paints me pictures
9. Our Friday dance parties (yes thats different than our Friday dance during calendar!)
10. When Larsen does sit ups and push ups in the middle of our dance parties (anytime is good time for exercise I guess!)
11. When I come back from being gone and they all give me hugs!
12. How I can be so frustrated one second and so happy the next when I'm around them

I guess I'm used to my 5am wake up call as 7:30 this morning was like sleeping in! I spoke too soon, thought I was doing good w/ not being sick yet. 3 weeks into teaching and no problems. Until yesterday. Pretty sure one of my notorious sinus infections is here! Blah.

Love. It seems to be the word of the week. The Lord has brought my attention back to this all week. What does it mean to truly love? I am commanded to genuinely love others. And that doing good is not necessarily considered loving them. The often said at weddings 1 Corinthians 13 spells it out. I have alot of work to do. Im focusing on all the qualities, not just the few. Also, to be fully loved and to fully love. To love all of people. And to let ppl love all of me. Rather than hiding the parts I think they might not love.

YAY for fall! I love the cooler weather. We had our first chilly morning on the bike last Saturday. We drove 369 miles through East Texas. It was beautiful. And the smell. Wonderful. Here's a good picture of the bike.I think I'll cook breakfast. Enjoy :)

Changes.

Lots of changes. I will be teaching the LIFE class at Sachse High School this fall. Sadly I am no longer working for Dr. H or w/ Krystal and Alli, but I will be working with two of my sweet, sweet girlfriends, Alexi and Kristen. I am SUPER excited to get this going and finally be able to use all that expensive education the parentals paid for. I am also very excited to feel the purpose of being an advocate for my students. And of course the whole 187 days thing :) I cant wait for next summer already! Its going to be amazing. ALSO, as many ppl know, Austins company shut their doors 2 weeks ago. It was sudden and terrible timing w/ the market starting to return in their favor. BUT, life happens. And Austin has been trusting that the Lord forces you in certain directions, so we know the positive will emerge. As of today he will be working w/ Henley and Henley Law under Sendera Title, which will soon be Land America. He will basically be doing exactly the same thing with a much more opportunity. Instead of just being able to sell nationally, he can sell local, national, and commercial. I am very excited for him. With me going through a couple months w/ no pay check as I get on the school districts pay schedule and his job stuff, we have become very creative with our entertainment. I think its been good for us. But it will be nice to feel like we can breathe again!

We also just got back from going back to Broken Bow with my family this weekend. There were over 20 of us with 3 boats, 2 four wheelers, and a motorcycle. Needless to say, the weekend was a blast!! We love that place. I highly suggest it for anyone wanting a quick get-away. Its beautiful up there. Perfect for a quiet weekend. Or a fun weekend on the lake. Thats all for now :) Back to watching the olympics. Im obsessed w/ gymnastics and Phelps quest for 8 gold medals.

Life is so good. I keep being reminded lately of how good life is. My weekdays are so busy w/ 11 hr work days and my weekends lately have been spent at weddings, on the lake, or on the bike. For a lil bit I was exhausted, and feeling pulled in 80 different directions, and like I had no time to myself. Im incredibly blessed. Austin and I went camping this weekend w/ Josh and Alexis and on the way home we had a conversation about the different ways ppl look at life. I am so busy, and for that, so blessed. I have a job while the market is so down. And Im weeks away from getting off of work at 2:30 every afternoon :), I know be jealous. I am so busy on the weekends with friends, family, and Austin. I am so blessed to have so many ppl that care about me and want my time. Its all in the way we look at life.

So our weekend camping. We went down to New Braunfels with Josh, Alexis, Eric, Christine, Maegan, and Jake. It was so much fun. I say we camped, however we stayed in a 42 foot trailer that hauled our bikes in the back. For the 4th we floated the river and went to Gruene Hall to saw Jack Ingram. And Saturday we took the bikes to Luckenbach. It was so nice to ride the bikes in the Hill Country. It is so beautiful down there.

Austin and I have been riding alot. It has been so much fun. He found a magazine thats all the 'Best Of's' in Texas and we have started checking them off as we have gone to them. We have started riding on Saturday mornings before it gets too hot. A few weeks ago we rode up to Celina over to Anna. We ate breakfast at one of the 'Best Of's' diners. It was on there for their breakfast. It was DELICIOUS. And so cute on the square. And I found my dream house w/ a pond in front. And Austin found his dream garage. It was a barn w/ 5 old bikes inside that an old man had built. Needless to say, I wanna move to Celina! Im sure I'll find 50 other places I wanna move as we ride through all these small towns!

I also haven't posted about our trip to Broken Bow yet. We went w/ his family to Broken Bow in June. It was so relaxing. That lake up there is beautiful. We took go carts and rode the ATV trails, we went hiking, and just layed around and did whatever we wanted! It was so nice! My family liked the idea so much that we are going back in August w/ my family. My family has gotten 3 big cabins for everyone and we are taking boats, jet skis, and four wheelers down there to play all weekend. My papa and his gf are coming too!! I cannot wait. Austin and I are so lucky that our families enjoy doing what we do and that we get along so well with each others.

Im finally getting a day off. Its been a busy few weeks. Im starting to get really excited about the fall. For those of you who don't know I have taken a job at Sachse High School in the fall as the Life Skills Teacher. In Alexi's words ' I will be bringing Sachse back!!' I am very excited to be using my degree. It is going to be very challenging and I think it will keep me on my toes. I tend to get bored easily! I cannot wait to decorate my room :)

So the title of my blog. Some of you may not know Austin and I are back together!! We decided a lil over a month ago it wasn't worth us being apart over. So we're giving it another go! It seemed surreal at the beginning, but now it seems crazy that it all actually happened. (The breakup) So, we've been having a blast. Even though he sold his boat after Memorial Day weekend. Thank goodness for my brothers boat this summer or I'd have lake withdraws! Although, if you know Austin, he doesnt go very long w/o toys.. so he's on to new things. I will post pictures as soon as I get some pictures of the new toy ;) Heres some of our last weekend w/ the boat!

That was also the day I made fun of Marissa the ENTIRE day bc she had her iphone in a zip loc bag. And of course that night we were on Pauley's jet ski and we tumped it over with both of our bags with us. So her phone, safe. Mine, ruined!!

Of course its wedding season also. And well everyone seems to have wedding fever! We went to Galveston in May for Lacey and Reid's wedding. And I just got back Sunday from my cousin Amanda's wedding. They were both outdoors and absolutely beautiful! This weekend is Katy's bachelorette party. My lil party hopper partner is leaving me for the married life!
